Metal Table and Chairs Second-Life

I had been on the lookout for a new table and chairs for my office at work.

When I saw this gem for $30 I just couldn’t pass it up.

It wasn’t too terribly bad to begin with but I wanted a fresh look!

I started with removing all the cushions, and then a primer coat of spray paint on all the metal parts and a Zinsser Bullseye primer on the top formica and underside of the table that was flaking a bit.

Then, I spray pained everything a fresh white and gave the cushions a new look with some fabric. It ended up being such a quick project I didn’t take any “during” pictures, but I think the final result turned out just perfect!

Pallet Inspired Vertical Herb Garden

I have a ‘hoard’ of pallets I have been wanting to do projects with. What I discovered is they are IMPOSSIBLE to take apart….or with my limited tools and knowledge they seem to be! I did manage to get these materials together

Wood for project

I took the wood and managed to make a frame and connect the pallet boards to it. From there I decided to just use what I had, I screwed some pots on in various places, and even used some painted cans along the bottom that I plan to put some marigolds in.

Lastly, I just added some herbs. Some I grew from seed, some I bought at Lowes. I am just excited to have these on hand, and hopefully they will grow well.

Front Hall Table Chevron RE-DO

I didn’t take “during” photos but I love this project and just wanted to show a before and after picture!
